Great Bascinet - Knight Helmet

A late-period great bascinet, after 1450 the "great bascinet" was rapidly abandon, being replaced by the armet and sallet, which were lighter helmets allowing greater freedom of movement for the wearer. a version of the great bascinet, usually with a visor perforated is  remained in use for foot combat in tournaments into the 16th century.

The helmet knight (armet) possibly of German manufacture was developed in the 16th century, the first helmet of its era to completely enclose the head, used in England, France,  Italy, and Spain.

Made entirely of steel, handmade and wearable. Made in Italy.
